Wildwood Outdoor Classroom Summer Lecture Series: Snakes of Virginia

The Outdoor Classroom opens the 2013 Summer Nature Series with a presentation titled: "Snakes of Virginia" on Thursday, June 13th led by Radford High Biology teacher Frank Taylor.
Virginia has an amazing thirty species of snakes. Most are non-poisonous and harmless to humans and all play important ecological roles. Learn about these species and conquer your fears as you will be invited to engage, “hands-on,” with live specimens of these remarkable reptiles.
Note: Hands-on participation is allowed, but not required.
Park at the Main Entrance to Wildwood Park at Main/Grove or the Sundell/Park Road lot. It is a 5 minute walk to the classroom in the center of the park.
