The Montgomery Museum presents the 2nd Annual Cruisin Downtown Christiansburg on Saturday, May 20, 2017 on Main Street in downtown Christiansburg, VA.

Enjoy a wide variety of classic cars parked on Main Street along with a Pinewood Derby track open to the public courtesy of Cub Scout Pack 145 and a free indoor screening of the Disney Pixar movie Cars courtesy of Ignite on Main Street. Concessions will be sold including pizza, chips, snacks, and soft drinks.

The Pinewood Derby track will be setup from 4-6 pm on Hickok Street for the public to race. The racing will be an outlaw version meaning there will be no weighing or measurements. The only requirement is that the car must fit on the track.

Current and former Cub Scouts and the general public are invited to participate in the Cruisin Downtown Christiansburg's inaugural Pinewood Derby. If you do not have a Pinewood Derby car, kits are available for purchase at the Montgomery Museum for $5.00. All children who race will receive a special Pinewood Derby patch.
