The New River Valley Home Builders Association (NRVHBA) presents the 3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck NRV on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the New River Valley Mall's Belk parking area.

The New River Valley Home Builders Association’s focus for Touch-A-Truck NRV is to allow children to become familiar with Building Industry careers by offering a hands-on educational opportunity to explore trucks, tractors, heavy machinery and to interact with the people who build, protect, and serve the New River Valley.

Be part of the Touch-A-Truck NRV experience as children of all ages let their imaginations run full speed as they climb into the driver’s seats, honk the horns, blast the sirens and safely explore their favorite vehicles.

Admission is free and there will be many free or very low cost activities throughout the day. Family friendly food will be on site for sale.

It is important to the NRVHBA to give back to our community. The New River Valley is where we call home, in most cases, for both our professional & personal lives. When you support our events, we share that support through activities, events & to organizations like these:

• Scholarships for NRV High School Students who are pursuing a college education in the construction industry at Virginia’s Colleges, Trade Schools and within Working Internships. • The “Cook Your Heart Out” Charity Cooking Contest where 3 local Non-Profits battle it out, “Chopped” style, for $1000 grand prize during the Home Expo. Contestants are judged on appearance, creativity, and taste when using 2 “secret” ingredients per appetizer, main course and dessert round.
