The Hahn Horticulture Garden at Virginia Tech presents the program "Bizarre Botanicals" led by Alexandra Cantwell of the Norfolk Botanic Garden on Thursday, March 1, 2018 in the Peggy Lee Hahn Garden Pavilion.
From the poisonous and perilous to the creepy and carnivorous, learn about a variety of fascinating and fantastic flora that have changed the way we look at plants, and even the course of history!
Alexandra Cantwell is graduate of the Virginia Tech horticulture department (2014) and an intern at the Hahn Horticulture Garden in 2014. She has been working as a horticulturist at Norfolk Botanical Garden since then. Alex manages the Children’s Adventure Garden and O’Connor Beer Garden, while teaching a variety classes and programs at the Garden.
