The Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech presents SoundScapes Reception and Gallery Talk with Stephen Vitiello on Thursday, May 17, 2018 in the Miles C. Horton Jr. Gallery.
Enjoy an immersive listening space—field recordings, voice, found sounds, digital and analogue synthesis, and more.
SoundScapes presents an evocative world of sound art by five leading figures in experimental music and sound art, featuring multi-channel sound works from the United States and beyond. Curated by internationally acclaimed sound artist Stephen Vitiello, this exhibition features works by Olivia Block (Chicago), Maria Chavez (Lima, Peru/New York), Marcus Fischer (Portland, Oregon), Robin Rimbaud, a.k.a. “Scanner” (U.K.) and Jana Winderen (Norway).
The reception is from 5:00-7:00 pm and the talk will be at 6:00 pm.
The "SoundScapes" exhibit will be on display from Thursday, May 17th through Saturday, June 9th.
