The City of Radford will host its 20th Annual Memorial Day Program on Monday, May 28, 2018 starting at 11 am at the Bisset Park Gazebo.
The 20th Annual Memorial Day Program will serve to remember the veterans of all wars who have sacrificed to serve our country and also the families who have lost loved ones because of those sacrifices.
The program will feature the Commander of the Radford Army Ammunition Plant, LTC James H. Scott III, Virginia Delegate Chris Hurst and Radford City Vice Mayor Dick Harshberger will offer the welcome.
As in years past, the program will also include:
• Music by the Radford High School Choir and Band
• The Field of Crosses honoring of Radford’s War Dead
• 21 Gun Salute
• Bagpiper Andrew Weeks
The program will be broadcast live on WRAD Radio, AM 1460.
The event is proudly sponsored by: VFW Post 776, American Legion Post 30, the Dublin-Radford Ruritan, the Vietnam Veterans, The Radford News Journal, Radford Parks and Recreation, and the Radford Memorial Day Committee.
The Bisset Park Gazebo is located at 23 Berkley Williams Drive in Radford, VA.
