Downtown Christiansburg, Inc. presents the 6th Annual Chow Down Downtown Food Truck Rodeo on Friday, September 21, 2018 on West Main Street in downtown Christiansburg, VA.

The event will feature some of the best food trucks from the New River and Roanoke Valleys, Charlottesville, Lynchburg and more. Live entertainment from The Antecedents and Space Monkey and craft beer and wine round out this amazing community event.

The Antecedents are a heartfelt American roots, rock ‘n roll band from the mountains of Appalachia in Southwest Virginia. With three-part harmony leading the sound you will find yourselves emerged in the vibes of the singer-song writer.

The Antecedents began as a local duo and are now a six piece band dedicated to writing songs with substance, and depth. With influences ranging from all over the timeline of music this acoustic duo has found a unique but familiar approach to modern songwriting, while staying true to the format that captivates a listener's enjoyment. Performing folk, roots, pop, alternative and country.

Throughout 2017 they began opening for national acts, performing at renowned festivals and released their first full length record, “Long Way Home”. The band won the Flight to FloydFest Series in 2018 and earned FloydFest 2018's On the Rise featured act spot and after a fantastic performance have been invited back.
