Description:
Friends of the Huckleberry Trail and the Town of Blacksburg are organizing a Huckleberry Trail Clean-Up Session on Saturday, September 22, 2018.
Volunteer will meet at the Wilderness Trail's Blacksburg parking lot, located at the corner of Miller Street and Harrell Street and will then be assigned a section of the trail to work.
The workday will focus on cleaning up any dead trees, downed wood, trash, and trimming some of the overgrown hedges. The Huckleberry Trail in Blacksburg has become a little messy due to the construction on the Southgate Interchange project and with the interchange project nearing completion, this workday will be to help restore it.
Volunteers who own chain saws or hedge trimmers (power or hand operated) are requested to bring them to the workday.
