The Radford University College of Visual & Performing Arts presents the play "Walk to Freedom: The Mary Draper Ingles Story" on Friday, December 7, 2018 and Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Pridemore Playhouse located in Porterfield Hall on the campus of Radford University.
This the story of frontier heroine Mary Draper Ingles’ escape from Shawnee captivity in 1755 and her extraordinary journey to reunite with her family is an inspiring one of hope, courage, and love of family. The play was written by Wesley Young and Kathleen Harshberger and adapted especially for the Porterfield Ensemble.
Admission is $5.00 and Radford University students are free.
Tickets can be reserved online or picked up at the Porterfield Box Office at 540-831-5289 during the week of the show. The box office is open from 12:00-6:00 pm and one hour before the start of each performance.
