The Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery presents the 6th Annual Wreath Laying Ceremony on Saturday, December 8, 2018.

Join families of veterans, and volunteers in laying over 1,000 wreaths on grave sites of those military veterans who have served our country and are now interred at the Southwest Virginia Cemetery in Dublin, Virginia.

The ceremony will include a motorcycle drive-by, the UAW Veterans Freedom Truck, presentation of the colors, a military band, the Honor Guard and distinguished guest speakers. Family members of those interred at the cemetery will lay wreaths first followed by all others who wish to participate.

Everyone is invited to attend and participate in this beautiful event honoring our veterans and their families.

The wreaths are made of live interlocking branches and are a tradition dating back to the 3rd Century B.C. Greece. They are a symbol of strength and victory. The most important symbol, eternal life, is upheld with the tradition of replacing the live wreaths each and every year.
