Radford University presents 2019 Radford University Out of The Darkness Suicide Prevention Walk on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Bonnie Plaza on the campus of Radford University.

Schedule of Events:
• 10:00 am: Check-In / Registration
• 11:00 am: Walk begins
• 12:30 pm: Walk Ends

Here at Radford University we believe in the power of awareness and community activism. The Out of the Darkness Campus Walk is a journey of remembrance, hope, support, and a walk that unites a campus and community, a time to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental illness have affected our lives and our loved ones. The 5k walk is a fundraiser for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
When you walk in the Out of the Darkness Walks, you join the effort with hundreds of thousands of people to raise awareness and funds that allow AFSP to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy and support survivors of suicide loss.

As the leader in the fight against suicide, and thanks to walkers like you from cities across the country, AFSP has been able to set a goal to reduce the annual suicide rate 20% by 2025.
