The Blacksburg Volunteer Rescue Squad presents their 2019 Open House on Saturday, May 25, 2019.

Celebrate the final day of EMS Week 2019 by joining us at Station #5 for our annual Open House! With this event, we welcome the community to our station to see how we operate on a day-to-day basis and we also do several demonstrations. We will show you around the station, answer questions, and host activities for all ages.

Activities include:
• Station and Emergency Vehicle Tours
• Vehicle Extrication / Car Cutting Demo
• CPR Demonstrations
• Meet Our Team of Volunteers
• Fun Activities and Games for All Ages
• Free Food
• Teaching Children How to Call 9-1-1 in an Emergency

One of our most popular demonstrations is the car cutting demo where members who are certified in extrication demonstrate how to safely stabilize a car and then cut the car to help rescue someone.

Admission is free and all are welcome.
