The City of Radford will host its 21st Annual Memorial Day Program on Monday, May 27, 2019 starting at 11:00 am at the Bisset Park Gazebo.

The 21st Annual Memorial Day Program will serve to remember the veterans of all wars who have sacrificed to serve our country and also the families who have lost loved ones because of those sacrifices.

The program will feature the Commander of the Radford Army Ammunition Plant, LTC James H. Scott III, Virginia Delegate Chris Hurst and Radford City Mayor David Horton will offer the welcome. Emcees for the program are the co-chairs of the event Bob Thomas and Laurie Buchwald.

As in years past, the program will also include:
• Music by the Radford High School Choir and Band
• The Field of Crosses honoring of Radford’s 59 War Dead
• 21 Gun Salute
• Bagpiper Andrew Weeks

This year we will also honor and celebrate the 75th Anniversary of VFW Post 776 and the 100th Anniversary of American Legion Post 30.

Admission is free and all are welcome.

Attendees will receive miniature flags from Woodmen of the World, Lodge 14.

The program will be broadcast live on WRAD Radio, AM 1460.
