The Virginia Center for Civil War Studies presents a free movie screening of "Lincoln" on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm inside Colonial Hall inside the Squires Student Center on the campus of Virginia Tech.
The Virginia Center for Civil War Studies will host a screening of "Lincoln", Steven Spielberg’s 2012 biopic that focuses on Abraham Lincoln’s efforts to pass the 13th amendment to end slavery. The film stars Daniel Day-Lewis and Sally Field and is rated PG-13.

In addition, Abraham Lincoln expert Edna Greene Medford, professor at Howard University, will lead a discussion of the history behind the movie.
The screening is free and open to the public.
Note: The screening was originally scheduled to be at The Lyric Theatre, but has now been moved to Colonial Hall.
