The Radford City Schools Partners for Excellence Foundation, Inc. presents Bobcat Backpacks 2nd Annual Fundraiser titled "The Roaring Twenties Sweetheart Speakeasy" on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Sharkey's Up Top in Radford, VA.
Come one, come all in your dapper flapper best to put on the ritz! We’re gonna have a swell time getting blotto on Valentine's weekend to help the Bobcat Backpacks feed all those hungry kiddos! There are 180 Radford kids in need of extra weekend food.
We’ll have a tasty buffet from Tizzone Wood-Fired Kitchen & Wine Bar, plenty of giggle-water to purchase from the bar, hotsy-totsy music from Castillo DJ Services for you to cut a rug and a silent auction including enough hooch to get you properly spifflicated at your next party!

Bobcat Backpacks Program provides food for needy children in Radford City Schools to take home every weekend during the school year and over the summer.
In January of 2016, increased need for weekend food was identified by Radford City Public School principals and guidance counselors. The Bobcat Backpacks Program was created as an autonomous program run by community members who were willing and able to dedicate the time and energy to running a successful program. At that time we served to 65 students throughout all Radford City Schools.
The number of students served has increased to 100+ students, approximately 50% of Radford City Public School children. The Bobcat Backpacks Program has been able to grow through the generosity of Radford City Schools, residents, businesses, grants, local churches, food drives and Radford University.

The Radford City Schools Partners for Excellence Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization who's mission is to support and enhance the educational experience of the Radford City Schools students through business and individual partnerships.
The Partners for Excellence Foundation will work diligently with other supporting organizations, such as the Radford High School Foundation, the Band Boosters, and the Athletic Boosters, to maximize efforts in supporting the advancement in opportunities for all students in the division.
