Description:
The Hahn Horticulture Garden at Virginia Tech presents a Zoom Talk with Artist Lyman Whitaker on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.
Thanks to a generous gift by long-time Hahn Horticulture Garden supporters Warren and Margie Kark, we are in the process of installing three Lyman Whitaker Wind Sculptures along the southern edge of the Conifer Garden. Mr. Lyman Whitaker has graciously agreed to do a zoom talk about his work.
A native of Utah, Lyman has been a practicing sculptor for over fifty years. He is internationally known as a master in the kinetic sculpture
discipline. Wind Sculptures, his main focus since the mid-1980’s,
are innovative, artistic, and responsive to their natural surroundings. Lyman's sculptures have been installed all over the world and we are excited to host this permanent installation at the Hahn Horticulture Garden.
