Floyd Country Store presents Redd Volkaert in concert both in-person and livestreamed on Saturday, April 17, 2021.

Join us at the Floyd Country Store for a live (and livestreamed) show with Redd Volkaert. Featuring Redd Volkaert on guitar, Nick Falk on drums and Dylan Locke on bass.

Probably best known as the most Roy Nichols-like successor to the great Roy Nichols in Merle Haggard’s famous backup band, the Strangers, Canada native Volkaert had no difficultly establishing his place among the country’s top Telecaster guitar slingers.

However, to call Volkaert a mere Nichols-like Stranger would be selling short his seemingly effortless ability to conjure up at will a vast array of complex guitar styles and techniques in countless genres and subgenres of country, rock, jazz, swing, surf, etc. Volkaert (a 2004 Grammy nominee for best country instrumental performance) has indeed mastered the many guitar styles he plays in.

The show will have a limited in-person audience and air live on Facebook and YouTube.

In-person tickets are $20.00 and available for sale online only. The livestream is free with donations accepted to support the musical artists and production costs of the concert.

Doors open at 7:30 pm and the music starts at 8:00 pm.
