Virginia Tech host the 2021 Virtual 3.2 for 32 Run in Remembrance starting on Friday, April 16, 2021 and continuing through Sunday, April 18, 2021.

A virtual run in remembrance will be hosted as the Virginia Tech community reflects on the vibrant lives of the 32 students and faculty who were tragically taken from us on April 16, 2007. Participants can run, walk or jog on their own.

The virtual walk / run will be held over a three day period to encourage proper distancing and adherence to state and local guidelines. This event is not supporting physical gatherings and is intended to support social connectedness through physical distancing.

The virtual event features a printable bib and the option to join the Stridekick App’s virtual group journey (https://app.stridekick.com/?groupCode=WJZ243&_branch_match_id=909813585613251100) to log participation with other Hokies. Participants are encouraged to wear their shirt or favorite orange and maroon and submit participation photos by using the hashtag #VT32Run on Twitter and Instagram. Photos can also be submitted within the Facebook Event linked below.

This year’s event also provides participants with the opportunity to purchase a commemorative 2021 Virtual Run in Remembrance t-shirt (at cost) with additional shipping costs per order. The cost of the t-shirts are $6.25 per shirt in sizes ranging from Youth Small to Adult 3XL. Shipping charges vary depending on the number of shirts ordered.

The annual community event is now in its 13th year and draws tens of thousands of Hokies to participate in Blacksburg to honor and remember the 32 students and faculty who lost their lives on April 16, 2007 when not in a pandemic.
