The Blacksburg Library presents the program "Creepy Crawly Encounters" on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

Get up close with some of nature's most misunderstood creatures! Join Professor Cynthia Wynne for an exciting, interactive program featuring live cockroaches, snakes, and tarantulas.

Kids and families will learn fascinating facts about how these animals survive, what they eat, and the important roles they play in their ecosystems.

The best part? Many of our animal ambassadors will be available for gentle, supervised touching and holding!

Children under 10 must have adult present.

The Blacksburg Library is located at 200 Miller Street in Blacksburg, VA.
