Description:
YMCA at Virginia Tech offers a 12-Week Teen Modern Dance starting on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in the YMCA Dance Room meeting from 5:15-6:30 pm on Tuesdays.

Teens, push your creative boundaries with modern dance! In this class, the floor is our friend: We’ll use gravity to our advantage to create a dynamic and flexible movement vocabulary. A juicy and aerobic warm up will lead us into full-bodied, expressive dancing. Handstands, floor leaps, and cartwheels will be introduced. We’ll also explore compositional tools to make your own choreography!

Some dance experience recommended, but not required.

The instructor is Rachel Rugh and for ages 12 and above.
