New River Rapids Flyball Club and Flying Fur! present the “Falling for Flyball 16” Flyball Tournament for Dogs on Saturday, November 5, 2016 and Sunday, November 6, 2016 in the gymnasium at the Blacksburg Community Center.
Schedule:
• Saturday - 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
• Sunday - 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
We invite you to come enjoy the “controlled chaos” of this exciting relay race for dogs. We have 27 teams from four states competing, including teams from three local clubs.
Admission is free and leashed spectator dogs are welcome.
Suggestions for spectators:
• The racing dogs are VERY PUMPED UP as they come on and off the racing lanes. Please be sure to stay well back from them, and as always ask before you pet a dog. Most of our dogs love it during down times!
• If you have a dog with you, please be sure s/he is under firm control – most dogs are very excited by seeing the racing and might try to come join the fun!
• Please no flash photography.
• Please hold small children by the hand!
• Feel free to ask questions. Most competitors love talking about the sport and their dogs (if they’re not just about to go in the racing lane).
