The Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology (ICAT) and the Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech presents Cube Fest 2017 with the program "Spatial Sound Art Installation: From Within a Field" on Saturday, August 5, 2017 and Sunday, August 6, 2017.
Cube Fest 2017 is Virginia Tech’s premiere arts and technology event of the summer! Back by popular demand, Cube Fest celebrates imagination and innovation at the intersection of arts and technology by pushing the boundaries of possibility in one of the most technologically advanced performance venues on the planet, the Cube.
An ongoing electroacoustic performance piece for multi-channel speaker systems that started in 2013, "From Within a Field" explores the relationship between sound and the listener were the sound material is strung and woven together for the present moment featuring Daniel Neumann.
Admission is free.
