Description:
TriAdventure presents the 2017 Kid's Try Triathlon for children ages 4-10 of all levels of ability on Sunday, July 9, 2017 starting at the Blacksburg Aquatic Center.

The TriAdventure Kids In Triathlon (KIT) Triathlon was created to provide an educational platform for youth to have fun staying active. By focusing on swimming, cycling and running, our hope is to introduce participants to activities that offer lifelong healthy opportunities for physical achievement.

Age groups are 4-5, 6-8 and 9-10 year olds.

The course for all age groups stays on the property of Blacksburg Aquatic and Community Center. You are able to follow and see your child at all times. All participants use the same course with additional laps being added for older age groups. Distances are appropriate for all children to successfully complete the race.

Check-In and In-person registration will take place on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Blacksburg Aquatic Center from 4–6 pm, followed by a short orientation meeting familiarizing the racers with the course and rules.

Race Day Check-In will take place from 6:15-7:15 am at the Aquatic Center.

Online registration is $40.00 per child and $35.00 for on-site registration. Registration is available online through July 8, 2017.

Each finisher will receive a finisher medal and a prize chosen from a prize table. All gifts have been donated by local businesses. There will also be a post race meal featuring fun kids foods.

No parking will be allowed in the Blacksburg Rec Center, Aquatic Center or Tennis Court lots. Please park across the street from the Aquatic Center. You may park near the track, or in the old high school parking lot. Follow the signs.
