Palisades Restaurant presents Sydney and the Wheatstraws in Concert on Saturday, August 5, 2017.

Sydney and the Wheatstraws are are "kind of Americana" with Old-time, Celtic, and popular influences. They also enjoy performing their own originals, and even the originals of other local performers. Comprised of Sydney Darden along with her father Steve Darden, Stefanie Maeder and Pete Hastings.

Sydney Darden sings beautifully and plays great banjo; Steve Darden is known for his tasteful, intricate-finger picking guitar; Pete Hastings plays harmonica and guitar. Stefanie Maeder sings vocals and plays guitar and recorder. Sydney is also a member of the Blacksburg group "The Huckleberry Pie Band", Pete was a founding member of the band "No Strings Attached" and Steve is a founding member of "Sydney and the Wheatstraws".
