Description:
Science on Tap New River Valley presents How to Build Trust with Marc Stern on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Rising Silo Farm Brewery.

How do people decide on the information, people, and institutions to trust or mistrust? Social ecologist Marc Stern of Virginia Tech will show us the science of trust and discuss how it can affect choices on everything from everyday decisions to policy and information sources.

This event is free and open to the public.

Science On Tap New River Valley community celebrates scientific thought and explores new discoveries through monthly events with a featured researcher. We kick off the event with games, comedy, or other fun things. Then, an invited guest researcher demos their research. And then we'll discuss, ask questions, learn together, and mingle.
