Friends of Glen Alton present the 2017 Glen Alton Fall Cider Festival on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Glen Alton Recreation Area.
Enjoy a wonderful fall afternoon on the Glen Alton grounds featuring cider making. You can mash your own cider and bring a container to bring it home.
There will also be a live mountain music jam hosted by Happy Hollow Stringband. Make sure to bring an instrument if you have one and join in the music making. Enjoy the nature trails, children's play areas, the historic Glen Alton Lodge, two ponds, Big Stony Creek, picnic areas, and the vast beauty of Glen Alton in the Fall.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
Bring a lawn chair, picnic, fishing pole, dancing shoes, and a smiling face.
Note: Please leave pets at home.
Directions: From Route 460, turn onto Route 635 Stoney Creek Road in Ripplemead, VA (you will see signs for White Rocks, Appalachian Trail and Glen Alton) Follow the signs for approximately 13 miles to Glen Alton (364 Glen Alton Road, Ripplemead, VA)
