Virginia Center for Civil War Studies presents the historical talk "Discovering my Enslaved Ancestors at Smithfield Plantation" on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at The Cascades Room within The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center.
Author Dr. Kerri Moseley-Hobbs shares the story of researching her ancestors, held as slaves by the Preston family of Blacksburg, Virginia.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
