Description:
SustainFloyd presents "Dine for a Cause: Can Forests Save the Planet?" with Chris Bolgiano, Environmental Writer on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Floyd EcoVillage.

SustainFloyd hosts environmental writer Chris Bolgiano who will present revolutionary new evidence about how and how much carbon is pulled out of the air and stored by forests to help prevent climate change.

Chris Bolgiano will present “Pillars of Carbon: Can our Aging Forests Save the Planet?” She will examine how Virginia can benefit from its nearly three-million acres of public forests and more than twelve-million acres of private woodlands.

The event at the Floyd EcoVillage will begin at 6:00 pm with a complimentary rice and beans dinner for the first 150 guests.

The evening is free to the public. Donations to SustainFloyd are welcomed.

There will be a cash bar serving wine, beer and Buffalo Mountain Kombucha.
