Hip Hop Studies at Virginia Tech presents Digging in the Crates 6th edition: Hip Hop & Digital Literacy on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Virginia Tech's Newman Library's first floor Multipurpose Room.

Come out to hear from Dr. AD Carson (University of Virginia, Assistant Professor of Hip Hop), Sum (Los Angeles based recording artist and community organizer), Nathan Zed (Virginia Tech student and creator), Stimulator Jones (artist on Stones Throw Records), and Dr. Kwame Harrison (Virginia Tech Sociology/Africana Studies Professor) for a discussion of the many intersections of digital literacy and hip hop's creative practices.

Admission is free and all are welcome.

The event is sponsored by Students of Hip Hop Legacy at Virginia Tech, The VT Breaking Club aka The Flowmigos, VT Expressions, VT NAACP, WUVT 90.7 FM, the Africana Studies Program, the Black Cultural Center, CLAHS' Office of Undergraduate Affairs, Diggs Professorship in the Humanities, University Libraries, Residential College at West Ambler Johnston, Smith Professorship in Black Studies, University Libraries Diversity Council and the Virginia Tech Women's Center.
