The Floyd Country Store presents February 2018 Floyd Radio Show with The Old-Time Snake Milkers, Janet Turner & Friends and the Elmer Coles Trio on Saturday, February 3, 2018 starting at 7:30 pm.
Live from The Floyd Country Store in the heart of downtown Floyd, Virginia! The Floyd Country Store brings together a new variety show every month. A series of guest hosts will perform original radio plays, comedy bits, ads, jingles, music and more. Each show features the finest old-timey musical acts, from storytelling banjo players to flatpicking guitarists to hard-driving string bands.
The Old-Time Snake Milkers are an Appalachian string band from Staunton, Virginia that blend traditional old-time fiddle tune, blues, jug band, and swing stylings for a unique, high-energy, all-American sound. Be prepared for a toe-tappin’, head bobbin’, hand clappin’ evening of music and entertainment!

Janet Turner, based in Floyd, VA, has been singing and playing Bluegrass and Bluegrass Gospel Music for over 30 years. She has played with numerous bands and continues to have family and friends play with her.

The Elmer Coles Trio is led by Jazz trumpeter Elmer Coles and is based in Roanoke, VA. Enjoy their straight ahead jazz!
