Description:
Sapphire Ballroom & Dance Center presents beginner-friendly Argentine Tango Workshop with Tate Di Chiazza and Karen Jaffe on Friday, March 16, 2018.
Sapphire is excited to welcome Tate Di Chiazza and Karen Jaffe back to Christiansburg! Together with Sapphire Ballroom, Karen and Tate are offering a weekend full of workshops and social dancing designed to develop and build the skills you need to enjoy Argentine Tango - a wonderful social dance that has been taking the dance world by storm.
Join them on Friday and begin (or begin anew) the journey of Argentine Tango. In the beginner-friendly "Path to Tango" workshop, we will look deeply at the fundamentals of dancing Tango - walking, posture, embrace, and connection - in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
This workshop is designed to be both supportive to newcomers and have plenty of material to challenge more advanced dancers.
The cost is $25.00 per person.
Tate Di Chiazza is a native of Buenos Aires, has studied and performed with many world-renowned Tango masters, and choreographed and danced in “Tanguera,” an international touring production.
Karen Jaffe teaches and performs Aregentine Tango, as well as hosting & DJing Tango social dances, at her home in Asheville, NC, and around the country.
This is the debut workshop of a weekend full of Argentine Tango. For more information, visit us at
