Description:
SustainFloyd continues their SustainFloyd Spring 2018 Film Series with "Wasted: A Story of Food Waste" on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the Floyd Country Store.
The film “aims to change the way people buy, cook, recycle, and eat food.” With guests like Anthony Bourdain, Dan Barber, Massimo Bottura, and Danny Bowien, the film delivers on how influential chefs make the most of food.
“Wasted! exposes the criminality of food waste and how it’s directly contributing to climate change and shows us how each of us can make *small changes*…to solve one of the greatest problems of the 21st Century.”
The doors to the Floyd Country Store open at 6:00 pm for a neighborhood potluck. So bring your favorite dish to share and a plate (to cut down on trash)! Coffee will be provided.
A suggested donation of $5.00 is appreciated at the door.
We look forward to seeing you there!
