Blacksburg Library presents Roots with Wings: From the Porch to the Front Lines on Sunday, May 6, 2018.
The Floyd Story Center at the Old Church Gallery will present a DVD compilation of WWII-era interview films “From the Front Porch to the Front Lines: Rural Virginia on a Threshold of Change” which are oral history projects collected by students of stories of local residents who great up in that time.
Dr. Melinda Wagner, professor at Radford University, will speak about the project’s history and community significance.
