Description:
The 2018 Kids Fishing Day will be held at Camp Powhatan located in Pulaski County on Saturday, May 12, 2018.

This is a free, family friendly event designed to bring awareness to children and parents of the ample outdoor opportunities available in our area. There will be plenty of trout for the kids to catch with over 1,500 stocked trout and tons of prizes to go with the fish!

Only children 15 and under are allowed to fish. Children will be able to fish off both the banks and docks at the lake. There is a three fish per child limit.

In addition, there will be t-shirts, inflatable jumping toys, raffle and crafts by Home Depot.

The top trout will get a free skin mount and there will be four Virginia Lifetime Fishing Licenses up for grabs.

No registration is required and lunch will be provided by River of Life Church.

The Southern Nights Band will provide musical entertainment.

Handicap transportation will be available.

Camp Powhatan is located at 2600 Max Creek Road in Hiwassee, VA located within Pulaski County.
