New River Valley CPR is proud to offer ASHI Basic Life Support, BLS for Healthcare Providers Course on Saturday, August 25, 2018.
This course teaches students how to recognize a life-threatening emergency, how to provide basic life support and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking. The program has been approved for training for Emergency Medical Services personnel and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).
This course is intended for healthcare professionals and first responders that are required to have professional-level basic life support training. Continuing educations (CE) hours for EMS professionals are available for ASHI BLS from Health & Safety Institute (HSI), a CAPCE accredited organization.
This is an excellent opportunity for students at local colleges and universities entering or continuing in nursing, dental, EMT/Paramedic and other healthcare related fields of study to complete their Basic Life Support (CPR) pre-requisite for clinicals and certification.
