Rising Silo Farm Brewery presents Ash Devine with F.M. Turner in concert on Saturday, August 18, 2018.

Please join us in welcoming Ash Devine and Patrick Turner to the farm for an evening of music and community! Ash Devine and F.M. Turner began their music career together as young musicians performing at the legendary Pine Tavern open mic nights back in the early 2000's. Now both renowned award-winning, internationally touring musicians, the two have released several collections of original music written and produced by Ash Devine and co-produced by bass player and multi-instrumentalist, F.M. (Patrick) Turner.

Ash Devine is an accomplished songwriter, ukulele and guitar player, performance artist, educator, and community-based arts facilitator whose work is influenced by her upbringing in the Blue Ridge mountains, and by her international travels to perform in health care facilities with Patch Adams M.D. Devine is known as a true ‘folk troubadour’ because she writes, collects, and performs cross genre music based on numerous folk traditions including original Americana & indie-folk-rock, traditional Appalachian old time, contemporary folk, country blues, historic bluegrass, folk revival, classic rock, and international folk music. Ash has self produced two albums of original music, and is working on two more, including a traditional Appalachian and folk legacy compilation.

Born and raised in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia, Ash lived for over 17 years in the Western North Carolina region where she developed her studies of Appalachian music traditions.

A warm and hearty meal prepared by the farm kitchen, Tabula Rasa, is available by cash donation, and supplied by products of Glade Road Growing, Strong Earth Farm and Hoof Hearted Farm LLC and all your favorite local growers and crafters!

Tips encouraged for musicians, there is no cover fee.
