Enjoy a very special night of country / western music for a Honky Tonk Dance Party featuring music by two stellar groups that you won’t want to miss!
You thought country music ain't what it used to be. Think again. J.P. Harris and The Tough Choices have been resurrecting the ghosts of a time when real, hardcore Honky Tonk ruled the airwaves; before the words "pop" or "new" ever met the word "country."
Leaving home at the young age of 14, J.P. Harris has lived the songs HE writes for well over a decade, getting his start around fires in sheep-herding camps in the southwest and hobo jungles across the country. Compared by many to George Jones, Billie Joe Shaver, and even rising star Jamey Johnson, J.P. writes with the humor, grit, and grace that only a truly road-worn author can summon.
In just over a year, The Tough Choices have traveled nearly 65,000 miles and played nearly 150 dates, from Vermont to Louisiana to California, from festival stages to roadhouses you can't find on a map. If you wanna dance, if you wanna cry in your drink, or if you like scruffy fellas in tight jeans, then look out for J.P. Harris and The Tough Choices.

https://www.reverbnation.com/thetoughchoicesKelley and The Cowboys are a four piece band from North Carolina, led by female vocalist Kelley Breiding. The band puts their signature sound on the old standards as well as original music, in a style influenced by early forms of western swing, rockabilly, country, and blues.
Kelley and The Cowboys always excite the crowd with their high energy and amazing musicianship no matter what the musical tastes or age of the listeners may be. How do they do it?
With Kelley's mesmerizing vocals and barn burner attitude, the nostalgic sound of Jimmy Tremor's arch-top guitar, Colby's thrilling feats on the upright bass, and Steve-O's status as a human metronome. When you pair all this together with a relentless energy for the crowd, it's a real dream for those who are out to scoot their boots. Having played the East Coast club and festival circuit since 2005, they have really made a name for themselves as one of the greatest dance bands around.
"Kelley and The Cowboys harness a sound that is staunchly rooted in the classic country music of the 1950s and 1960s. As they masterfully cover a number of country and Americana classics, think Patsy Cline, Hank Williams Sr., Loretta Lynn and Elvis Presley, the group simultaneously operates within and reinvigorates the early country music tradition. Led by the powerful, iron-clad vocals of Kelley Breiding, the group is a rousing nostalgic throwback to timeless country, honky-tonk, western swing, and rockabilly genres." (Ithaca Times 2009)
