Description:
Blacksburg Library presents an Author Talk with Rosaire Bushey on Sunday, September 9, 2018.
Local author Rosaire Bushey will talk about his book, "Magic's Genesis: The Grey", and the process of independent publishing. Join us for an informal discussion of writing, world-building and marketing.
Rosaire Bushey was born and raised in northern Vermont, the last of a slew of kids and the inheritor of fast feet, a quick wit, and lots of hand-me-down shirts with enormously large collars.
After high school he journeyed off to become a military journalist in the US Air Force resulting in a 25-year long four-year tour that saw him living in such unlikely places as Arizona, Sicily, England, New York, the Azores, Alaska, Texas, Turkey and 'somewhere in Southwest Asia'.
He has an MA in Strategic Communication and Leadership from Seton Hall University, and because it seemed like fun, another MA in English/Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University.
"Magic's Genesis" is his first book-length work, but he's enjoyed the process so much he's working on the sequel.

Wynter is a crazed ex-assassin. Lydria is the daughter of a kingdom soldier. Each has a mystical sphere that has unleashed the power of magic into the world of Eigrae. But this new power does not come easily - it demands a physical price from those who use it, and Wynter is not averse to dealing with pain in order to gain access to the power of magic. To stop Wynter, Lydria must endure the physical pain of learning magic, and the emotional pain of using it.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
