Description:
The Southern Suffolk Punch Gathering Group presents the 2018 North American Suffolk Punch Spectacular on Friday, October 5, 2018 through Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the New River Valley Fairgrounds.

The North American Suffolk Punch Spectacular is the largest gathering of Suffolk Punch Draft horses at a show in modern times with attendees expected from all across the world. Enjoy a three day weekend of demonstrations, discussions, meals, meetings and the first ever Horse Show featuring only Suffolk Punch horses on this continent. The overall theme of this event is "Save This Breed".

The show will feature halter classes, driving classes, working classes, Single and Team Pulling Contests. There will also be clinics, speakers, music, dance, food, vendors and more. The Annual American Suffolk Horse Association meeting and board of directors election results will also take place.

There will be speakers addressing genetics, artificial insemination, preparation of the mare for AI and use of the Wrights Genetic Calculator, classes of field performance driving, logging, plowing and pulling, a full range of in-hand showing events, and many demonstrations of skill and culture related to the Suffolk Punch horse.

Roger and Fiona Clark from England are our judges in halter and driving classes, best foot award and the other contests.

Admission is $10.00 per day or $25.00 for the entire weekend for all three days.

In addition, there will be a dinner held each evening and the price of dinner is an additional $18.00 per person.
