Description:
The Blacksburg Refugee Partnership with support from Cranwell International Center presents "Human Flow: The Documentary" on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the Lyric Theatre.

Join us for the only local showing of "Human Flow", a documentary about the global refugee crisis directed by Ai Weiwei. The film shows both the staggering scale of the crisis and its profoundly personal human spirit. Donations at the event will support local refugees.

The film had its world premiere at the 2017 Venice Film Festival and debuted in the U.S. at the 2017 Telluride Film Festival.

Admission is free and all are welcome.

The Blacksburg Refugee Partnership supports six families comprised of 19 children and 9 adults from Syria and Afghanistan. Now living, working, and studying in Blacksburg, these individuals face many challenges. BRP’s commitment is to partner with these families until they are independent.
