Claytor Lake State Park presents their 9th Annual Halloween Celebration on Saturday, October 27, 2018.
Join Claytor Lake State Park for a day packed full of Halloween fun!
Schedule & Activities:
• 1:00-6:00 pm: Mini-Games and Crafts at Shelter #2
• 1:00 pm: The Spooky Box at Campgrounds
• 3:00-6:00 pm: Hay Wagon Shuttles
• 3:00 pm: Pumpkin Carving Contest at Shelter #2
• 4:00-9:45 pm: Haunted House at Shelter #1
• 5:30 pm: Costume Contests at Shelter #2
• 6:00-7:00 pm: Trick or Treating throughout Campgrounds
• 7:00 pm: Campsite Decorating Contest throughout Campgrounds
• 8:00 pm: Interpretive Campfire Circle in D Campground
The Pumpkin Carving Contest will be held at Shelter #2 and pumpkins will be provided and there will be a few carving tools available to use. You can decorate at the shelter or at home. All pumpkins must be back at Shelter #2 by 5:00 pm for judging and awards.
Costume Contests will be at Shelter #2 in order of children, adults and then pets. Awards will be announced after each round.
The Campsite Decorating Contest judging will begin at 7:00 pm. The winner will receive a two night free camping stay. Winners will be announced at 8:00 pm at the Interpretative Campfire Circle in D Campground.
Free hay wagon shuttles will run every half hour from the Picnic Area to the Interpretative Campfire Circle in Campground D from 3:00-6:00 pm, weather permitting.
The Spooky Box will feature a ranger in the campgrounds with a frightful Mystery Box.

Admission is free however there is a $5.00 parking fee per vehicle to enter the park.
