The Giles County Historical Society Museum continues the John K. Hale Lectures Series with the Halloween-themed lecture "Haunts of Virginia's Blue Ridge" on Tuesday, October 30, 2018.
Join Author and Journalist from the Bristol Herald Courier Joe Tennis for an evening of scary ghost stories from his book "Haunts of Virginia's Blue Ridge Highlands."
Joe was born in Bristol, Virginia and is a 1992 graduate of Radford University. Most recently, he has released a new young-adult adventure novel called "Swamped!" about four teenagers lost in a saltwater swamp after an oar breaks on their rowboat. Joe is a contributing editor for Blue Ridge Country magazine and has also written for the Bristol Herald Courier.
His other books include "Along Virginia's Route 58: True Tales from Beach to Bluegrass," “The Marble and Other Ghost Tales of Tennessee and Virginia,” "Virginia Rail Trails: Crossing the Commonwealth" and "Southwest Virginia Crossroads: An Almanac of Place Names and Places to See."
Admission is free and all are welcome.
The museum is located at 208 North Main street in Pearisburg, VA.
