The Floyd Country Store presents The Great Gingerbread House Contest on Saturday, December 22, 2018.
For the first time in many years, The Floyd Country Store is pleased to invite the community to participate in a Gingerbread House Contest! Exercise those creative baking skills and bring family and friends together to create a sweet work of holiday art. The structures can be simple or ornate, and decked with your favorite candies.
The grand prize winner will receive a $50.00 gift certificate and will be named the 2018 Gingerbread Architect of the Year.
Entry into the contest is free.
Participants need to register in advance so The Floyd Country Store knows how many houses to expect. Registration can be done in person at the store or online at: https://www.floydcountrystore.com/event/the-great-gingerbread-house-contest-2018-12-22.
Participants in the contest will need to bring their creations to the Floyd Country Store between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm, displaying them in front of the stage. The houses will be admired and the winner announced shortly after 6:00 pm, before the Old-Time Dance with Jackson Cunningham & Nobody’s Business.
