The XYZ Art Gallery presents Opening Reception for "Portrait Corner" on Friday, January 25, 2019.

Join artists Grace Marie Bradham, Mikayla Spivey and Wejdan Almunive as they explore, play, and experiment with portraiture as an art form and dive into what makes us ‘us’ in XYZ’s first exhibition of 2019, "Portrait Corner".

Portraiture spans across cultures and throughout ages, encompassing countless methods, styles, inspirations, and intentions with one universal constant each piece depicts a person, different from any other. Beneath the surface, we are full of ideas, quirks, and habits that come together to form our unique personalities. This diversity makes us great and acknowledging what differentiates each of us from one another helps us to expand our own thinking, to consider new perspectives, and to improve the world around us.

The show will run through February 9, 2019.

Admission is free and all are welcome.
