Science on Tap - New River Valley presents "The Science of Fermented Drinks" on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Rivermill in Blacksburg, VA.
Virginia Tech grad student Sihui Ma researches cider and will show us how to make Chinese rice wine and then tell us about her research on these alcoholic beverages. We'll kick things off with some trivia, winners will get starter cultures for rice wine.
Admission is free and open to the public. Food and drink are on your own.
Science On Tap New River Valley community celebrates scientific thought and explores new discoveries through monthly events with a featured researcher. We kick off the event with games, comedy, or other fun things. Then, an invited guest researcher demos their research. And then we'll discuss, ask questions, learn together, and mingle.
