The Town of Blacksburg and Downtown Blacksburg, Inc. present the Downtown Strategic Plan Open House on Monday, January 28, 2019 in the Kent Square Lobby.

The Downtown Strategic Plan was created through a planning process that has helped the Blacksburg community formulate a set of strategies that will help guide development for the next several decades. The open house willshowcase these strategies and ideas to the community.

Join us for light hors d’oeuvres and beverages as you learn about the future vision of downtown Blacksburg.

The plan is the culmination of over a year long process that consisted of four public meetings and over 1,000 citizens participating in the process. This process allowed the community to take a proactive role in deciding how Downtown can accommodate expected growth, serve the needs of residents and workers, and reflect the values of the town. Learn about what the future vision of downtown is and what we can expect to see in the next decade plus.
