ComSciCon-Virginia Tech presents the 2019 Kickoff on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the Graduate Life Center's Multipurpose Room at Virginia Tech.
Join Virginia Tech's Center for Communicating Science director Patty Raun and associate director Carrie Kroehler for the launch of the first-ever ComSciCon-Virginia Tech! Thursday evening's event is an opportunity for community members graduate students from disciplines of all kinds to begin connecting, communicating, and collaborating. Have fun with graduate students and researchers on Virginia Tech's campus in this interactive kickoff event!
Originally hosted in 2014 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, for graduate students at MIT and Harvard, the “flagship” ComSciCon has grown to serve students from across the United States and around the world. Its reach now extends to locally franchised workshops.
Free parking can be found at meters on the surrounding streets (Roanoke, Draper, College) available after 5:00 pm.
Doors open at 6:30 pm and the program begins at 7:00 pm.
