The Wilderness Road Regional Museum presents a Founder's Day and Swiss Celebration on Sunday, March 3, 2019.
Join the museum as we celebrate the Swiss Heritage of Newbern's founder Adam Hance on the anniversary of the founding of Newbern, Virginia which was officially founded on March 3, 1810.
Enjoy Swiss inspired food and drink samplings including chocolates from the Blue Ridge Fudge Lady, cheeses from Meadow Creek Dairy in Galax, VA and Swiss Wine choices from Vintage Cellar in Blacksburg, VA.
Hear from Dr. Philip Sweet of Radford University as he shares the legendary story of William Tell. There will also be alpine music and a history display.
The tasting fee is $10.00.
