Blacksburg Library hosts the program "How to Landscape for Birds Using Native Plants" on Saturday, March 2, 2019.
Debra Graff, a former master gardener volunteer, will show how to landscape for birds using native plants including wildflowers, shrubs, trees and vines. These plants are important sources of food, shelter and both materials and sites for nests.
Handouts will be provided on how to design a bird sanctuary along with lists of plants beneficial to birds.
This talk is co-sponsored by the New River Valley chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society.
