Blacksburg Library hosts an Introduction to Scottish Country Dance on Sunday, March 3, 2019.
Scottish Country Dancing is the ballroom dancing of Scotland. It began in the mid-1700s and continues today around the world.
Alanna Lester, certified through the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, will teach a beginner/introductory class. A dancer for over 12 years in a variety of dance styles, Alanna is eager to start a Scottish Country Dance Group in Blacksburg.
Class is free and open to all.
No partner is needed.
Comfortable attire and athletic or soft-sole shoes are suggested.
